Confessions from a chest

New Years Eve and this poor gay man is struggling to put an outfit together. Imagine Marc Jacobs meets John Varvatos, sexy meets clean lined. Right?

I came across a magnificent deep-V shirt from Nordstroms this summer. My first impression when noticing it on the figure of a manikin, "ooh, that would look great with skinny jeans and boots, topped with a french cut jacket." So I made the purchase-not only did I buy it in black, I also bought it in green. I've been hiding it, tucked away, awaiting for the right occasion to bring this shirt alive.

My life was shot down, instantly. "You're wearing a blouse, why are you wearing a blouse? You're not wearing that blouse, are you?"

Those were the comments from a dear boyfriend. A boyfriend whom takes pride in the clothing he wears and picks out.Any day that I see him, he is well tailored and ready to strut his look- with his head up high, and never without it, his confidence. I've never seen a man look so put together, so I've never had to question, "what is he going to wear? Oh god, he needs help." Not my boyfriend. He's done just fine on his own. Turn the tables, and he's questioning, disapproving and suggesting my fashion sense. WTH!?

The shirt was a new twist to the V-Neck, that's what I liked about it. It was different, it was something new, away from the average V-Neck for men. Again, pulling away from the typical shirt, pant or blazer and creating a new look, a new way of wearing a garment, or how the garment is designed. It's thinking out of the box, just as I did when I saw it. I knew right away how to pair it and make it work.

I didn't WOW him with this look. So, of course I was upset with him. He ripped my fashion confidence out of my heart, and left me with know other choice but to change. So I did.

So now I wonder, how deep is to deep for a V-Neck shirt? Did it catch him off guard because it's a new style? Maybe.Or perhaps it may remind him of a "blouse." But if I re-call, a blouse is a silk blend that slouches off the shoulders and has a oval shape plunge in the front..right? Well, when I googled blouse, that's what I saw.

As you all can see from the picture above, is the shirt I had on, but in black. And I'm curious to hear your opinions, my chest really wants to know if I bought a blouse, and so do I.

"Shut the coffin door, I've died in McQueens!"

Paris, October 2009. A fashion show was collaborated with the talents and creativity of Alexander McQueen. A man known to the fashion world for his futuristic approach in clothing, but yet accomplishing that challenge by mixing it with today's fashion trend. We gaga over his heels, his jackets and one of a kind corset dresses.But when do we see his creation walking the pavements of the city? If you know Alexander McQueen, you know who's working his clothes. McQueen's clothing gives us the advantage to dress ahead, by allowing us to take a chance.

The debut of the Armadillo Stilletto has recieved remarkable criticism. The Huffington Post states, "To die or to be killed?" It's to die for. A new move, a new look for the modern woman. We crave for new looks, for new talents, and to be ahead in the fashion world. Those of us deep inside who are true fashionista's, wait patiently for a bold new move in the fashion industry. The hours and hours it takes to create a look, or a new trend is spent countlessly for people like us.

In less then two years, we will see this shoe in a revised creation or perhaps it will remain in it's own originality. Remember how we responded to the Gladiator heels, noone liked them. First question asked, "how are we suppose to walk in those?" And now, every woman who understands and appreciates fashion, has a pair of gladiators in there closets. Imagine Armadillo's paired with leggings and a boyfriend jacket, or skinny jeans with a plaid long sleeve with a studded gothic Hermes belt, and clutch. It's a look that will be rocked by any woman with confidence.

This Stilletto is the beginning to a new era of the heel. Thank God! I hate to say this, but women were beginning to look so boring with a pump, or wedge. Now, they have a new friend. If I had the honor to be a woman, I would own a pair of these in every color, shape and form. I would mow the lawn in them, while I sport a Chanel Vintage Suit. Do it, work with it, be creative with it. Most importantly, "shut the coffin door, you've just died in McQueens."

Confessions of a skirt man

For the last two years, I've been waiting anxiously for the man skirt to arrive. Making it's debut on the hips and talents of world-renowned Marc Jacobs, in 2007 . His bold attempt, to add to today's metro-sexual man's closet. He walks the catwalk sporting a tailored black pleaded knee length skirt, paired with distressed black leather boots, a plain white henley t-shirt and a black blazer. Besides the skirt: the plain white t-shirt, black boots and blazer; is the norm and typical look for men.
